Dr. Gerhard Maale specializes in orthopedic oncology, treating osteomyelitis, bone cancer, osteosarcoma, infected joint arthroplasty (revision joint replacement), as well as complex joint reconstruction. He is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who has also completed fellowship training in orthopaedic oncology. Orthopaedic Oncology

Sarcoma

– a type of malignant cancer that attaches to connective tissue cells – including bone, cartilage and fat

Osteosarcoma

– a specific type of sarcoma that affects the bone and can metastasize very quickly
